Photos of Berlin
One of the gate keepers of Charlottenburg's Castle

This is not modern art. U2, U5 or U8 are three underground lines passing through Alexanderplatz station in Berlin. What is modern art anyway ? Is modern art underground ? Is the underground modern ? What ?
The Berlinische Galerie is one of Berlin's modern art museums. Beside its permanent collections, very interesting temporary exhibitions from german artists are presented. This architectural installation, called head-in, is signed magma architecture.
Berlin's tv tower is very high. Once every few weeks it has to be cleaned. People who do it, are hanging 300 meters above the ground. Like those two guys on the bottom right of the photo.

The underground line U7 crosses Berlin from Spandau to Rudow. From time to time, It's worth going out to look at the design of the stations. This is Bayerischer Platz.
In Berlin Charlottenburg, French architect Le Corbusier built his fourth Cité Radieuse, which was supposed to be the ultimate machine for living in. It was based on his Modulor concept. I asked, and people said that they are happy to live there.

Guides say that berliners call this building the great aspargus. The thing is that I haven't heard a berliner call it this way so far. Its real name is Fernsehturm, it's the tv tower of Berlin. It's 365 meters high, so a meter per day except on leap years.
Berlin main station is a huge transparent building. But its architecture makes you feel comfortable. While strolling about you'll be surprised to see how much restaurants and shops it shelters under its glass roof.

Berlin Hauptbahnhof ( it's german name ) was designed by Meinhard von Gerkan and finished in 2006
